Mastering Financial Negotiation Through Real Practice
We don't teach theory in isolation. Our approach puts you into realistic scenarios where you'll practice actual negotiation conversations, work through complex financial discussions, and build confidence through repetition. Think of it as a rehearsal space before the real performance.

Learn From People Who've Been There
Our facilitators aren't just teachers. They've sat across the table from tough negotiators, worked through difficult financial conversations, and made mistakes they'll help you avoid.

Briony Cavendish
Spent twelve years negotiating commercial property deals across Melbourne. She's walked away from more bad deals than most people see in a career, and she'll show you what those red flags look like.

Nerida Forsythe
Worked in vendor finance for eight years before moving into training. She knows how to structure payment terms that actually work for both sides, not just look good on paper.

Sloane Rutherford
Former investment analyst who learned negotiation the hard way during funding rounds. She teaches you how to hold your ground when investors try to change terms at the last minute.
Find Your Starting Point
Different people need different things. Answer a few questions and we'll point you toward the sessions that match where you are right now.
Never negotiated a financial deal before?
Start with our foundation sessions running in September 2025. You'll learn basic structure, how to prepare, and what questions to ask. We keep groups small so everyone gets individual feedback on their practice rounds.
Done some deals but want to get better?
Our intermediate workshops focus on specific scenarios like renegotiating existing agreements or handling multiple stakeholders. These run quarterly, with the next cohort starting November 2025.
Need help with a specific situation?
We offer targeted sessions on particular challenges—difficult conversations about payment delays, restructuring terms when circumstances change, or negotiating with institutional players who have more experience.
Leading a team that handles negotiations?
Our team-focused sessions help groups develop consistent approaches and learn from each other's experiences. Good for businesses that want everyone using similar frameworks.
How Our Sessions Actually Work
People always ask what happens in the room. Here's what a typical workshop looks like, broken down into the actual steps we follow.
Scenario Setup
We give you a realistic situation based on actual negotiations our facilitators have handled. You get background information, financials, and context about what both sides want.
- Review the case materials for fifteen minutes
- Identify what matters most to each party
- Prepare your opening position and backup options
- Think through likely objections you'll face
Practice Negotiation
You pair up and work through the conversation. One facilitator observes each pair, taking notes on what's working and what's not. This is where the actual learning happens.
- Conduct the negotiation with your partner
- Navigate objections and counteroffers in real time
- Try different approaches when you hit obstacles
- Work toward an agreement both sides can accept
Immediate Feedback
Right after each practice round, the facilitator breaks down what happened. They'll point out missed opportunities, effective tactics, and moments where the conversation went off track.
- Discuss what approaches moved things forward
- Identify where you gave up ground unnecessarily
- Review how you responded to pushback
- Get specific suggestions for improvement
Second Attempt
You run through the same scenario again with a different partner, applying what you just learned. Most people are surprised how much better their second attempt goes.
- Apply feedback from the first round
- Test different strategies and phrasing
- Build confidence through repetition
- Notice improvement in your approach

Why Repetition Matters More Than Theory
You can read about negotiation tactics all day. But when you're sitting across from someone who's pushing back on your numbers, all that theory evaporates if you haven't practiced.
We run the same scenarios multiple times because negotiation is a skill, not just knowledge. The third time you handle a difficult question about payment terms, you'll notice you're calmer and more strategic.
Multiple Scenarios Per Session
You'll work through four to six different situations in each workshop, building pattern recognition for common challenges.
Different Partners Each Round
Negotiating with various people helps you adapt to different styles and pushback approaches.
Written Feedback You Can Reference
After each session, you receive notes on your performance to review before your next real negotiation.
